01 / The discipline

About the course.

Property, people, markets and sound investment decisions, brought together.

Real Estate is a built-environment discipline concerned with land, property markets, valuation, investment, development, management and the use of the built environment. Real estate professionals analyse property value and market performance, advise on acquisitions and disposals, manage property assets, and support sustainable property development and investment decisions.

At the University of Nairobi, real estate studies bring together property economics, valuation, land and property law, property management, development, investment analysis and the wider built-environment context. Learning is supported by lectures, tutorials, group work and practical exposure to property markets and professional practice.
