About the course.
Numbers, buildings and sound commercial decisions, brought together.
Quantity Surveying is a built-environment discipline concerned with the financial and contractual management of construction projects from early feasibility and design through procurement, construction and final account. Quantity Surveyors help clients and project teams understand cost, manage change, assess value, administer contracts and make informed investment decisions.
At the University of Nairobi, the Bachelor of Quantity Surveying programme combines technical knowledge of construction with measurement, cost planning, construction economics, law and management. Learning is supported by lectures, tutorials, group work and practical exposure to construction methods and documentation.
